Three Everyday Conundrums - Difficult Diagnosis, Difficult Patients, Difficulties with cracks.

Associate Professor Mark Evans. BDSc, MDSc, GradDipClinDent, MRACDS(Endo), FPFA, FADI, FICD.

The practise of dentistry is complex and hundreds of decisions, both large and small have to be made every day.  Sometimes these decisions can be difficult and complex and sometimes the patients themselves can be difficult and complex.  This half day lecture program will give helpful advice about everyday conundrums faced by all dentists using real examples of where things got difficult and how they worked out.  The old saying "Measure twice, cut once" applies perfectly to dentistry!

Associate Professor Mark Evans graduated from dentistry at the University of Melbourne in 1990. He was then in general practice (RAAF and private) for nine years before commencing his specialist training in Endodontics, which he completed in 2001.
Mark is very active in the dental profession, having served on numerous committees and also having an extensive background in dental education. He has lectured locally and internationally and has published several articles in the Dental and Medical literature. For his services to the dental profession, Mark has been awarded Fellowships with The Academy of Dentistry International, The International College of Dentists and The Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Mark maintains a busy Specialist Endodontic practice in Melbourne’s CBD and was appointed Clinical Associate Professor of Endodontics at the Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne in 2016.
