Webinar - Misdiagnosis and Pain Management in Endodontics (Followed by a Q&A session)

Dental pain can be a very confusing and complex phenomenon. Misdiagnosis remains a risk in such situations that can lead to treating an incorrect tooth. Clinicians continuously face such challenges in diagnosis and treatment planning including management of odontogenic pain.

This webinar addresses:

A step by step approach to dental pain diagnosis including referred pain.
Appropriate use of traditional and contemporary technology for diagnosis and relief of pain that is endodontic in origin.
Clinical management protocols for immediate pain relief.
Case difficulty assessment guide and follow up.

Followed by a Q&A session in conjunction with Dr Gus Jang and Dr Michael Khoury.

About the Lecturer

Dr. Gaurav Vasudeva is a registered Specialist Endodontist based in Perth, Western Australia.

Gaurav’s initial dental qualification was from India in year 2001 and he went on to obtain his Master of Dental Surgery (Endo) in 2005 after 3 years of specialist training. In 2016, he was awarded a diplomate membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK) in the specialist field of Endodontics. He is currently on their faculty of dental trainers, which is an organisation responsible for implementing standards and conducting dental examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Apart clinical endodontics, Gaurav has a keen interest in teaching and mentoring. Prior moving to Australia in 2013, Gaurav served as the discipline lead in endodontics at Oman Dental College, Muscat, in Oman. He has other held teaching and public health positions, including Senior Clinician in the Tasmanian Oral Health Services, Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the James Cook University and Adjunct Lecturer with the University of Queensland.

Gaurav has a special interest in the management of orofacial pain, dental trauma, endodontic management of medically compromised patients and newer technologies such as CBCT in diagnosis and treatment planning. He has lectured both nationally and internationally in the field of endodontics.
